We develop smart products to enable a smarter life at home for people all over the world. We are curious and passionate about creating solutions that solve real-life problems and help people realize their dreams. All on their terms.
Because we believe everyone deserves a smart home.
To succeed, we look for new ways of integrating technology and digital solutions into furniture and life at home. We explore opportunities throughout the home, and we work closely with other Business Areas to both drive transformation of the existing range and develop new smart products to attract new customers to IKEA. We’re still at the beginning–there is lots more to come.
As an Embedded Software Engineer within the test automation area, you are developing high-quality embedded software used for testing our physical IKEA Home smart products. You’ll work in our agile product development teams, close to firmware developers. You’ll create code with quality to make sure we have top-quality products.
Your focus will be to build & maintain a test automation framework for embedded IoT. You will act as the owner for having a good release quality of our products. Furthermore, your scope can also include software development of production-ready code for products.
You will be part of a great team, where you together will secure a high-quality standard by sharing best practices, driving automation, and improving the tools we use. Together you will foster a ‘quality by design’ mindset, which will secure our testing methods into the future. Together we will bring our amazing products to the many people, or as we call it, 'democratizing the smart home'
Is it important to you to build an effective, secure, and continuously integrated test automation environment? If yes, this could be the next step in your career.

Typical focus areas include Low-Power Devices, Battery Power, Radio Communication, Power Converters, and Microcontrollers, but you will also work with Real-Time Embedded Firmware for smart-home IoT systems, including Lights, Remote Controls, Blinds, and all manner of new things in our product roadmap.
