We are looking to welcome a Restaurant Manager to join our amazing food team here at Milton Keynes

Expected Starting Date: To be discussed at interview.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE
We are looking for someone like you to help us deliver a taste of Sweden and a great customer experience with high quality, sustainable food. You will contribute to a passionate and friendly team to deliver a better everyday life for the many, while embracing change with a solution-orientated mindset. This is an extremely fast paced working environment and requires you to multitask, producing and serving food with regular heavy lifting.

As a person you are passionate about people, business, IKEA’s purpose and continuously driving better performance and business growth. We are looking for someone who can help to grow the team through building IKEA Food and IKEA competence and leadership and empower co-workers to act on their own initiative.

In addition you will have strong leadership with around 3yrs leading a large team of around 40+ co-workers. The ideal candidate does not need to be from a food background however it is desirable that you come from a fast pace retail environment.

• Well-developed strategic and tactical abilities

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
We are a diverse group of people who all live by the motto: Laughter is brightest in the place where the food is! Together we serve more than 660 million customers yearly at the IKEA restaurants worldwide and offer a variety of foods in our bistros and in the “Swedish Food Market”.

• Ensure that retail foundations and sales steering tools, food safety and Swedishness are in place to optimise commerciality.
• Contribute to maximising food sales across all customer meeting points in store by acting as a commercial business partner to steer and optimize, local pricing and services to enable extraordinary growth in the food business.
• Lead and implement the commercial strategy and commercial calendar in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
• Lead the implementation of the IKEA Food communication and cross merchandising strategy with relevant stakeholders within and outside of the function.
• Secure excellence in operations and high-quality standards of customer experience in all areas and optimised levels of commerciality are achieved by cooperating effectively with the Food Operations Manager.
• Develop and improve the business by seeking and acting upon customer feedback.
• Identify, recruit, introduce and develop the many talents and to secure succession planning.
